My Lord,
I have the honour to submit for the
signification of His Majesty's pleasure Ordinance No.16 of 1929, intituled "An Ordinance to apply a sum not exceeding Twenty-two million and thirty-eight thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine Dollars to the Public Service of the Year
1930", together with the Attorney General's report thereon.
Copies of the introductory addresses and of
the Draft Estimates and Annotated Abstract, together with copies of memoranda by the Colonial Treasurer and the
Director of Public Works were forwarded to you with my
despatch No.395 of the 6th of September, 1929.

The second reading of the Bill was moved by
the Colonial Secretary at the meeting of Legislative Council
on Thursday, 19th September, 1929. I enclose copies of the Hansard Report (uncorrected) of the proceedings which were adjourned until Monday September 23rd, when the debate was
resumed and the official replies to the unofficial criticisms
were made.
